Volkswagen Tiguan of the current generation is preparing for the first major update. Judging by the spy photos we saw with a minimum of disguise, everything is almost ready for the premiere – apart from not the most suitable situation for public events – but officially the manufacturer has just shown the first image of the exterior of the restyled crossover. The appearance of the Tiguan was updated, bringing it closer to the appearance of the more recent T-Cross and T-Roc and the main passenger brother – Golf of the eighth generation. For the time being, it’s only known about the salon that a new infotainment complex will appear in it, and the functionality will expand due to improved driving assistants. At least two fundamentally new versions will be added to the usual modifications. This is a plug-in hybrid and a “charged” crossover with an R nameplate. Probably, their power plants were borrowed from the Golf GTE and Golf R, but there is no confirmed data on this score.
