SSC Tuatara production super-car shown in motion
The production version of the SSC Tuatara super car debuted in the United States in February this year. The long-term construction model, which inherits the champion Ultima Aero TT, will try to return the world speed record for serial cars to the brand – and now we have been given the opportunity to assess how fast the new product can be. The dynamic characteristics of the coupe, named after the New Zealand lizard, are still not revealed – it is only known that the maximum speed exceeds 300 miles per hour (483 km / h).
For comparison, the aforementioned SSC Ultima Aero TT in 2007 accelerated to 412.28 km / h, but for the new Tuatara record you need to overtake the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300, which showed a result of 490.484 km / h. On the equal time, there are at least extra applicants for the championship – koenigsegg jesko absolut and hennessey venom f5.For both hyper cars, a maximum speed of more than 500 km / h was declared, but there were no real tests yet. The SSC Tuatara is equipped with a 5.9-liter V8 that develops 1350 hp. All traction is directed to the rear axle through a seven-speed robot.
