Norwegian electric vehicle owners Tesla Model S P85D filed a class-action lawsuit against an American manufacturer. According to them, the real power of Tesla is 33% less
At the moment, it is known about 126 dissatisfied Tesla owners, whose interests are represented by the local law firm Wikborg Rein. As stated in the class action lawsuit, the P85D’s output is 469 horsepower, instead of the 700 hp declared by the manufacturer.
Dissatisfied owners of Tesla electric cars in Norway are demanding compensation because the Americans’ promises of “crazy” dispersal do not correspond to real figures.

At the same time, the representative of Tesla, Evel Sandwold Roland, called the allegations unfounded and referred to the results of an independent audit of acceleration dynamics. According to these tests, the Tesla P85D accelerates to 100 km per hour in 3.1-3.3 seconds, depending on weather conditions, etc.

Whether consumers could be capable of show their case becomes known in December, whilst hearings will be held in the Oslo District Court. Note in Norway, the demand for Tesla’s electric cars is one of the highest in the world. In addition, since 2025, the Norwegians intend to completely abandon the use of fuel cars, so this market is of considerable interest to electric vehicle manufacturers.
