For the first time on the development of new items, which should become a car that is not similar to any existing model of the Volkswagen group, the German brand announced this spring. There is no official information about the future serial electric car, but Autocar shared some details about the project.
According to the publication, the novelty will enter the market under the name Audi A9 e-Tron. Stylistically, it may be similar to the 2017 Audi Aicon concept.
Most likely, the A9 e-Tron will be built on the PPE platform, on which Audi is working together with Porsche. The electric car will receive an advanced autopilot, as well as augmented reality technology.
