Chinese Lynk & Co introduced a new youth model

The fifth model of the brand was the compact crossover Lynk & Co 06. There is no mistake in the numbers, because one previously planned model is delayed
The Lynk & Co brand was launched in 2016 by the Chinese corporation Geely with the assistance of Volvo Cars. The first two projects – crossovers Lynk & Co 01 and Lynk & Co 02 – the new Chinese brand showed during its own presentation. The fourth number should have been the Lynk & Co 04 hatchback, announced in 2018, but it is not ready yet.

Instead, the company presented the new crossover Lynk & Co 06, which became the most compact model in the lineup. Its overall length is only 4340 mm, the wheelbase is 2640 mm. The crossover is based on the Geely compact BMA platform, first used in the model of the new youth brand.
the layout of the novelty is evolved inside the company style of the emblem, but there are also unique solutions. In particular, the “zero-sixth” got a new radiator grille with large cells and forked side sections of the rear lights. In the presence of a virtual dashboard, 10.25-inch “multimedia”, non-fixed joystick transmission control, an electric parking brake.
At the start of sales, Lynk & Co 06 will be offered with a 1.5-liter gas turbo engine producing 177 hp. and 265 Nm of torque. A 7-speed preselective “robot” is provided for a pair of motors. Drive – front. Later, a rechargeable hybrid will appear with the same ICE, supplemented by an 81-horsepower electric motor. The total return of the power plant will be 190 hp.

In China, the start of sales of Lynk & Co 06 is scheduled for late summer. a brand new Chinese logo will enter the ECU marketplace by means of the quit of 2020. The first Europeans will be offered the Lynk & Co 01 crossover.
